Demons Cycle - Gear Shift Shaft Review
1 comment
I bought some forward controls from Demons cycle and the gear shifter shaft snapped right at the selector arm. I called Demons and talked to someone about a warranty and the *** on the other end could not have been less cooperative and pretty much told me that he was not going to do anything. I guess thats what happens when you deal with a less than average parts supplier!

Exact same thing happened to me on a part that was less than a year old. The customer service department sucks.
I have taken the shifter spline into some dealers to see if they have anything to repair it and they have all been amazed that the spline is hollow. That part takes a lot of torque when you shift and a hollow rod is bound to break like it did. Everyone of them stated these are cheap parts from Taiwan. I bought a pair of chrome wire rims at the same time as the forward controls and they are now totally rusted and look like ***.
I have learned my lesson with them (buy cheap parts get cheap craftsmanship). I will continue to spread the word through my friends and every vet group I ride with to never buy from them.
Not worth the headache.
